What is the schedule for the day?
All daytime sessions at UNL CoJMC, 16th & Q streets, Andersen Hall
8:30 – 9 a.m.: Registration, main lobby. Coffee and rolls, Student Lounge, lower level (use elevator if you like).
9:00 – 9:45 a.m.: Membership meeting; welcome from the interim dean, Adam Wagler; room 15, lower level.
10:00 – 10:45: “AI is Here: Use It Purposefully.” Matt Waite, room 15, lower level.
11:00 – 11:45 a.m.: “Local News: More Important Than Ever.” Chris Graves, room 15.
Noon – 12:45 p.m.: Lunch, first floor classrooms.
1 – 1:30 p.m.: High School Communications Contest Award Ceremony, room 15.
1:40 – 2:20 p.m.: “Change Happens: One Family’s Experiences Reflect the Industry” featuring Ruth Brown, CoJMC professor emerita, and daughter Valerie Brown Jones, CoJMC interim associate dean for research, room 15.
2:30 – 3:15 p.m.: “Tomorrow’s News: Voices from Young Journalists” featuring Andrew Wegley, Flatwater Free Press; Zach Wendling, Nebraska Examiner; and Jackie Ourada, Nebraska Public Media; room 15.
6 p.m.- NPW 80th Anniversary Banquet, Country Inn & Suites North, Board Room, 5353 N 27th St.
