NPW’s Contest for High School Students

The only nationwide communications competition for high school students, the NFPW contest is endorsed by the National Association of Secondary School Principals. Dow Jones announces first-place winners and promotes the competition in its publication distributed to journalism advisers across the nation, giving students and their teachers/advisers local and nationwide recognition. The high school contest begins at the state level with first place entries sent on to compete at nationals.

NPW’s Contest for Professionals

Professional and retired members of Nebraska Press Women may submit their entries to the state contest. First place entries move on to the national contest. Categories for professionals include the following: print media, photography, radio/TV, electronic/web, advertising, public relations, speeches, books/verse, research.
